Next up in our Oliver! spotlight series we have Hattie Conway!

My character was a Workhouse kid and one of the Sowerberry children. I really enjoyed being both these characters because I got to make personalities out of my roles, which helped to make me more engaged.

The process of going from studio to theatre was actually ok because we did it in stages - we first went to Beacon Hill then to the theatre. I was really excited though when I saw how tall the bridge was, that was a change because I got used to being on a small table, but when we got onto that amazing bridge we had lots more room so we could express even more!

My favourite scene/song in the play was the Sowerberry’s scene and 'That's Your Funeral' because we were told to be creepy and I LOVE being creepy so I got to build that into my character. Also I loved how everyone had so much energy throughout that scene… that made me have energy too!
